Rogers: Infantry Hero Guide

His axe gathered more wood than victories.

- Growth hero whose main role is to increase Wood production and gathering
- Never finds a suitable role in Conquest/Arena mode due to mismatch of skills with already uncompetitive stats
Strat Game Sloth Strategic Summary
Rogers is an infantry hero in Lordrush whose primary value comes from resource production rather than combat effectiveness. On the Expedition side, Rogers mirrors other growth heroes' economy-focused design by specializing in wood collection. Woodland Inheritor increases the amount of wood your city gains whether or not he is present, while Master Woodcutter improves gathering speed from mill resource tiles when he is included in a gathering march. Although these abilities will not directly impact your battlefield performance, they provide meaningful long-term account progression by accelerating one of the game's core resources. Because wood is required for countless building upgrades and technology investments, Rogers remains a useful support hero throughout the life of an account, even if he never enters your combat roster. Players focused on efficient city growth should consistently utilize him for gathering whenever possible. In Conquest and Arena modes, Rogers struggles to establish a meaningful role. His kit consists of Axe Whirl, an area-of-effect attack, and Razor Sharp, a passive damage increase that both push him toward an offensive playstyle. Unfortunately, this directly conflicts with the stats given to infantry heroes in Lordrush. The stat distribution creates a primary role for infantry to absorb damage and survive long enough for backline damage dealers to win the fight. Because Rogers must stand near enemy units to utilize his attacks, he frequently exposes himself to significant incoming damage without possessing the durability necessary to stay alive. As a lower-rarity hero, his offensive multipliers are simply not strong enough to justify this high-risk approach, making him difficult to recommend even during the early game. While players may briefly experiment with him during their first few days, Rogers is ultimately best viewed as a dedicated gathering hero whose impressive beard contributes more to city development than battlefield victories.
