Flint: Lancer Hero Guide

Every great defense begins with a balanced meal.

- Fantastic 25% Health increase joiner ability for PvP content that outperforms 20% damage reduction abilities
- Can be effective in early-game Conquest and Arena, but lancer stats mean he falls too quickly for his slow heal to trigger
- Best played in Conquest/Arena as "third tank" or "support tank" in back row
Strat Game Sloth Strategic Summary
Flint is billed as a premier Lordrush defensive specialist for Expedition mode (although under-the-hood, the game rewards offense and defense symmetrically in battles). He is widely recognized for providing the single best early-game defensive buff available to free-to-play players. His priority expedition skill, Super Nutrients, grants a massive 25% army-wide health increase that is essential for holding key PvP targets like castles, outposts, and sanctuaries. This ability is superior to the 20% damage reduction skills we see from heroes early game like Bane or Cyprus, allowing a well-coordinated alliance to achieve incredible survivability by sending multiple Flints in the lead joiner position. Results improve as later hero generations bring additional 25%-equivalent defensive bonuses with different skillcodes that have a multiplicative effect. Governors should prioritize building Flint's star level to at least four stars to unlock the max level of this skill, ensuring they can contribute to the defensive formations required by their alliance for Castle Battle. For Conquest and Arena mode, Flint is a situational support tank who offers the unique utility of being the only hero with a healing ability available at the game's start. His signature skill, BBQ Feast, provides a team-wide heal and a minor attack buff, while his passive skills, Culinary Chaos and Emergency Snack, offer personal damage reduction and self-healing over time. However, Flint often struggles on the front line because he possesses a smaller health pool than infantry, even falling behind a maxed-out blue hero like Ogg. This often causes him to fall before his slow-triggering heals can activate. To maximize his effectiveness, Flint is best positioned on the backline as a support character or used as a "third tank" in specialized formations where he can buy enough time for your main damage dealers to cycle their area-of-effect abilities.
