Kitchen

The Kitchen is a Resident-focused building that turns Bread from your Mill into food for your Residents. The benefits from the Kitchen accrue solely from the Furniture inside of it, not the building itself.

While the Kitchen is given a lot of prominence in the tutorial, it very quickly becomes a minor factor for your account overall. Upgrading the Kitchen to its max level of 10 (and its Furniture to their max levels of 20) will result in more satisfied Residents who spend less time eating and more time working in resource buildings like your Iron Mine.

The Kitchen is also a source of Resident Satisfaction, which provides an increase in daily rewards tied to your Approval Rating (which you can check in the Suggestion Box). Additionally, a well-upgraded Kitchen provides a source of Contentment, which is the currency consumed when issuing Governor Orders in the Court of Justice.

One other small thing that many Lordrush players overlook is that you can change the meal being served in the Kitchen by selecting the Stove Furniture and tapping on the context menu next to “Production”. This opens up the “Kitchen Menu” screen, which allows you to select better food quality. There is no reason not to select the Deluxe Feast since the Bread cost is negligible to your account’s production.
