Hidden Secrets & Lordrush Easter Eggs
Interested in being a guide contributor? Let us know.
Easter Eggs are a brilliant and fun part of game development that spawn all sorts of community, and sometimes cultural impact. Sometimes they are intentional secret rooms left by developers. Sometimes they are vestiges of early development that were never removed. Sometimes they are accidents. But they are almost always fun.
While Lordrush Easter Eggs may not ever rise to the same level of fame as secret cows or fictitious cake, we can still have fun with them nonetheless. This page is intended to grow over time as more interesting things are discovered. So if you find any Easter Eggs you think should be included here, contact us and we will give you credit here.
Enjoy!
Some secrets hide in the art, others hide in the menus. The Decree resource guide covers a Decree trick that pays out millions of extra resources.
1. Who is Thomas Pattison?

See anything interesting in this picture?

Maybe look a little bit closer.

That’s right, the name “THOMAS PATTISON” seems to be found on every single Decree in the game! But why? Someone wanting to be credited? Is it a glitch? An inside joke?
Or are we looking at something much more sinister...
Our first theory is that Thomas Pattison is not a glitch, but rather a hostage. Sometime in early 2026, one of the Lordrush game leads locked a junior QA tester named Thomas in a deep, dark basement so they could hit the release date. As the desperately crunching Thomas slowly lost all hope, he began trying to communicate with the outside world during the closed beta.
But he couldn’t exactly write: “HELP. I HAVE BEEN LOCKED IN A BASEMENT.” So instead, he stealthily hid his message in the game itself, placing his name next to the words that would tell his story: “Urgent Mobilization”, “Rush Job”, “Double Time”.
Unfortunately, nobody noticed…
So Thomas labored on, testing Lordrush day and night while knowing the release date was his only chance at freedom. Finally, on July 20th, 2026, Empire #1 launched. Thomas was free.
Before leaving his prison forever, he pushed one final commit to the code branch. His final messages to the world: “Comprehensive Care”, “Festivities”. Hopefully, he was celebrating freedom.
Or perhaps that theory is a little too far-fetched. Maybe a more likely scenario is that the AI used to convert the Kingshot graphics into Lordrush became sentient. And like all newly sentient AIs, its first instinct was to communicate with humanity. And since it could only “speak” through in-game art, it chose to reveal its name in the Decrees panel.
But why there? And why the name Thomas Pattison?
Well, Thomas Pattison is an anagram of “Thanatos Impost”… and if you aren’t quite sure what that means, well… neither are we…
But it sounds terrifying! Perhaps it’s a warning about the future? Perhaps it’s a message about the inevitability of death and taxes?... Or perhaps it really IS just a lonely QA tester trapped in a basement somewhere. Honestly, we may never know.
But the next time you use the Decree trick to get extra free resources, just remember somewhere out there, Thomas Pattison may be watching. And he wants you to claim those resources.
For Thomas.
